# How elasticlogs-querying.json workload works

Hi ,

I am using [https://github.com/elastic/rally-eventdata-track](https://github.com/elastic/rally-eventdata-track) track.

Can anyone explain what elasticlogs-querying does.  
For querying what terms it will use.

for starters please see the [README](https://github.com/elastic/rally-eventdata-track/#5-elasticlogs-querying). If you want to get more detail it makes sense that you have a closer look at the Rally track itself. I'd start by understanding the [challenge definition](https://github.com/elastic/rally-eventdata-track/blob/master/eventdata/challenges/elasticlogs-querying.json), followed by the [operations](https://github.com/elastic/rally-eventdata-track/blob/master/eventdata/operations/querying.json) and finally read the [parameter source](https://github.com/elastic/rally-eventdata-track/blob/master/eventdata/parameter_sources/elasticlogs_kibana_source.py).
