# How many of you are using Otel for your K8S apps on Elastic vs docker?

[OpenTelemetry and Elastic: An unbeatable combination for observability | Elastic Blog](https://www.elastic.co/blog/opentelemetry-observability) covers the baseline of what's being supported. Curious what people's experiences are on Otel with Elastic. Any interesting examples, etc. That blog uses a a variant of the open-telemetry hipster shop from google. We have also published a opentelemetry-demo fork in elastic github. [GitHub - open-telemetry/opentelemetry-demo: OpenTelemetry Community Demo Application](https://github.com/open-telemetry/opentelemetry-demo). This is K8S, we've focused on K8S since its the main deployment vehicle. Some asks for docker are coming in. Curious.
