# How to add more than 1 node in Elasticsearch Cluster

Greetings,

I am new to ELK,  
Please help!!!!

I want to monitor different (min 5 Servers) servers so, I want to add more nodes in Elasticsearch . How to add more than 1 node in Elasticsearch . Would I be able to add that node in Elasticsearch .Please guide

Its not a single configuration. Please go through the docs and understand what is [data-node](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/modules-node.html#data-node) and [master-eligible-node](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/modules-node.html#master-node).

Note: Please take care of [split brains](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/modules-node.html#split-brain)
