# How to assign nodeSelector to Kibana

I try to add

```
spec:
  version: 7.5.0
  count: 1
  nodeSelector:
    appType: stateless

```

but it didn't work.

You need to add the `nodeSelector` to the pod template. We have an example in our documentation here: [https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/cloud-on-k8s/master/k8s-kibana.html#k8s-kibana-pod-configuration](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/cloud-on-k8s/master/k8s-kibana.html#k8s-kibana-pod-configuration)
