# How to avoid sending Redis data to APM

I am using Java APM agent but I do not want sending anything related to Redis communication.  
How can I do that?

Everything is in 7.6.2 version.

You can use the [`disable_instrumentations`](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/apm/agent/java/current/config-core.html#config-disable-instrumentations) config by setting it with `redis`
