# How to calculate iops on Kibana?

Hello guys,

I am using metricbeats to collect O.S. data.

I can see the disk metrics like: write operations, write bytes, etc, but they are absolute number and not the value by second for example.

How can i use Kibana to calculate the diference between a second (10 seconds actually) and the previous to reach the information i want?

Someone can help me to construct this graphic?

What metric are you trying to calculate? Average write operations per 10 seconds? Total write operations per 10 seconds? Or are you trying to calculate rate of change?

The following screenshot shows how to calculate average bytes per 10 seconds, for instance:
