# How to change index pattern

I have two different index in Elasticsearch prod and dev. I developed everything in dev pattern and after the export I changed the ID for index pattern in ndjson file. after import it is throwing error and I am not able to read a single visualization. Can someone please help me with this. and what is the best suitable way to maintain dev and prod environment

How did you find your pattern id? Maybe you have put wrong ID.

Thanks a lot for your reply.  
I got it from URL, It is working now there is ID and Name we need to change both the things I was changing only ID not name and because of that kibana was throwing issue

Yes,indeed. Only need to changed pattern name&id, from the new environment.
