# How to change number of rows in dataTable in Discover? Kibana

Hi,  
Can I somehow reduce or increase the number of lines here?:

By default, no more than seven rows are displayed for each message. Did not find the settings by which I could change this number=(

go to management-\>advanced options and look for `discover:sampleSize`

"discover:sampleSize" specified the number of messages in the table. But I want to change the number of lines in the text of the message itself

thats currently not an option, but you can open an enhancement request on github [https://github.com/elastic/kibana](https://github.com/elastic/kibana)
