# How to clear the cache for a specific query?

Hi simple question : is it possible to clear/refresh the cache for a specific query?

You can't. Clear Cache API only allows at most at index level. See [https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/indices-clearcache.html](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/indices-clearcache.html)
