# How to combine two numerical fields

I want to combine these two fields | (?\<byte\_read\>(-|%{INT})) | (?\<byte\_written\>(-|%{INT})) |

and want one field like tota\_bytes=byte\_read+byte\_written , can someone guide me how to do it.
