# How to compile winlogbeat source code

hi all:  
i want to add extra functions to winlogbeat, but i can`t find any doc to guide. any one could provide a detailed method?

thanks for your reply, this question has been sloved. i can get a winlogbeat.exe, after execute the cmd on linux, GOOS=windows GOARCH=amd64 go build -i

I do not work enough windows but in my opinion, if you download winlogbeat, you should have a .exe already well done and prepare

In this case, as much download the project beats by Golang, (with all types beats) and how you will be in complete freedom to change what you want.  
Then the compiler with the GOOS you want.
