# How to config filebeat to listen on a cloud server

Hi, I have an ELK cloud server, which is also installed `filebeat` on it. I am wondering how to config `filebeat` to listen on another server (e.g. the internal ip: [192.168.xxx.xxx](http://192.168.xxx.xxx)). Which section of `filebeat.yml` do I modify and how to do that?

It can only do local files.

I installed `filebeat` on the dev server, and config `logstash` as `output`, specify the `hosts` to be the dev server, and it works. Now logs generated by dev server can be accessed from the `ELK` server, and hence on `Kibana`.
