# How to configure file beat to send to data stream so that life policy settings can be made use of?

How to configure **file beat** to send to **data stream** so that **life policy settings** can be made use of?  
Also , is there any change to be made about the corresponding setting of i **ngest pipeline** , if we use configuration of data stream in filebeat?

I have installed Elastic agent. Can I export a set of logs collected by a Syslog server to Ingest node using Integrations?
