# How to create multiple index in logstash?

Am running 2 applications in same AWS ec2 instance as docker-containers.. now I want to create separate index for both application.  
Filebeat is running on application server.  
And elk is running on another instance.  
filebeat output is pointing to logstash.

How do you want to separate the applications? Is there a field you can use?
