# How to Disable edit button when you share the dashboard URL

I tried sharing URL of kibana dashboard with other people they are able to access the dashboard,but i want to disable edit button

Hi,

what about this ?

- create a new read only user:  
Management Security -\> Users

- create a new role, for example: read\_only  
Management Security -\> Roles

- add newly created user to mentioned role

- allow to access all used indexes in " Index Privileges"

- set read privileges in "Privileges " : read, index
