# How to disable Monitoring or to make a retention period of 7 days only?

I have this situation where

How can I make sure that this so called
.monitoring-es-6-\* will not be so huge or so many at numbers, maybe a logrotation or retention policy. I do not know exactly how come this logs are way bigger than the whole data collected by the logstash.
If someone can give me an option since I have 20 GB real logs, and 20 GB logs from monitoring.

You might be interested to modify the collection interval.
