# How to disable "usageCollection" plugin in kibana.yml?

how do you disable "`usageCollection`" plugin in `kibana/conf/kibana.yml`?

Hi @lenny1. It is not possible to disable a bundled plugin in Kibana. The "usageCollection" plugin enables telemetry collection. [However, you can disable some telemetry collection in kibana.yml.](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/kibana/current/telemetry-settings-kbn.html)
