# How to downgrade Kibana

Platform: Ubuntu 16.04.6 LTS (xenial)

How can I downgrade the current kibana (version 7.3.2) to a lower version (version 7.1.1) ?

I do not have a backup of the previous version, is it possible to downgrade?

Urgently needed for your assistance. Thanks

[Can Elasticsearch 7.3.2 works with Kibana 7.1.1?]

Hi @skyluke.1987,

I don't think it is supported, you can see from support matrix:  
[https://www.elastic.co/support/matrix#matrix\_compatibility](https://www.elastic.co/support/matrix#matrix_compatibility).

Let me check though, @tylersmalley can this be done?
