# How to enable Elastic Security

How to enable the default elastic security solution for non default indices (metric\*, filebeat\*..etc), which follow the ECS. Should be able to add the required indices in the security solution.

Hi @mruthyu, you should be able to follow these steps from our [documentation](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/security/current/advanced-settings.html#update-sec-indices) to update the default indices.
