# How to hide columns from data table?

I applied a date range filter to my table and it created an ugly column that I would like to hide.
If it is not possible to hide, I would be ok if i can at least get rid of the time part of the date and display something like "Jun 1, 2021 to Jul 1, 2021"

The exact feature you're asking for is only available in Lens, but as a workaround: if you have only one filter, I would suggest that you add it as a KQL filter on top of your visualization, or use `+ Add filter` to create the filter manually, or set the filter at the dashboard level (you can choose a time filter for each dashboard panel separately)`.
If you have multiple filters, then I'd suggest that you only choose one filter per panel, and then you can have one time range per panel.
