I have an elk on the server1, and Websphere aplication server cluster, with log file on path //waserver/someDir/trace\_log. Need I set up filebeat on WAS(how?), or can I just configure logstash on remote file?

Hi @rockitaki,

yes you are right. You need to [setup](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/beats/filebeat/current/filebeat-installation.html) Filebeat so as to [forward](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/beats/filebeat/current/logstash-output.html) the logs to your Logstash server.

Thanks!
