# How to install Kibana and Elastic search on the machine to get a login prompt on starting Kibana

I want to have a login prompt in start of the Kibana custom plugin. I have created a custom app level plugin but there is no login prompt on opening the custom app level plugin.

What are the steps to install Kibana/Elastic Search so that i got a prompt of login on opening app level custom plugin.

The login will happen globally when you connect to Kibana if your cluster is secured. Once you are authenticated, you can access to any plugin your role allows.
