# How to keep track of failed records or events from logstash

Hi Team,

What is the best way to know that how many records got failed while indexing into ES from logstash. We are trying to index AWS monthly billing files (of size 18G+, having 35+ million records) the record count seems to be not matching always.

How do we track these ? Appreciate your help.
