# How to make charts on grafana from "counts" to "counts per second"?

Hi \*,  
Sounds like a dumb question 😃 I've made charts in grafana with Logstash backed-end, they show a number of counts in that time range, NOT a rating sense like QPS(query per second)... what is the way to achieve ?

Hi @WanLi_Chen have a look at the [Timelion tutorial](https://www.elastic.co/blog/timelion-tutorial-from-zero-to-hero). I think this will do what you want.
