# How to make ES 6.8 ingest data faster

Hi Team ,

I would like to know how to make ES ingest faster, this is because i have a graylog server with ES 6.8 . The specs are 32 core, 64gb ram, Ubuntu 16.04.6 , 200gb disk. I have allocated 30gb ram for the ES heap. My ES setup is pretty standard and no specific performance setting is done. Appreciate if any high performance setting can be shared, or atleast settings to make it ingest data faster. Appreciate very much. Thanks

lol. Something like `--run-very-fast` option?  
I'm afraid there's no such setting. But I'd recommend reading [Tune for indexing speed | Elasticsearch Guide [8.11] | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/tune-for-indexing-speed.html)
