# How to prevent other people from deleting index?

Hi everybody,

i am going to start using elasticsearch in my shop these days. I made  
two little scripts to rebuild and to delete the index and put them in  
a password protected folder. Everything is working fine 🙂

Now i am wondering: How can i prevent that other people delete my  
index ?

It uses jetty for Http.  
So you can define rules.

I wrote something here : [http://dev.david.pilato.fr/?p=241](http://dev.david.pilato.fr/?p=241)

Although it's in French, you can translate it or just look at the source code examples.
