# How to remove fields exist in \_source array field using logstash filter

I'm trying to use a logstash filter to remove unwanted fields from the \_source field, but the data isn't being sent to ES.

```auto
filter {
    mutate {
        remove_field => ["path", "host","@version","@timestamp","type"]
    }
}

```

Hello,

I think the problem isn't the `remove_field` directive in this case. It works at this way and it's correct.

Can you add more information about your `logstash` configuration? The `output` for example.

Are you receiving data from the `input`?
