Elasticsearch 2.4 is used here. I have backup in the following format, what is the right way to restore it to elasticsearch 2.4?

Restoring from file system backup is not supported and not guaranteed to work. I am therefore not aware of any procedure for it. You should be using [snapshot and restore](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/2.4/modules-snapshots.html) for backups as that is the only supported option. I would also recommend you upgrade as Elasticsearch 2.4 is ancient and has been EOL for quite a while.
