# How to revive the index user\_messages for the labs of Kibana Data Analyst

Hi, I am in the subscription training of "Kibana Data Analyst" and
I accidentally deleted the index "user\_messages" (not the index pattern "user\_messages"). It seems to be the main index for the rest of the labs; I am stuck at it. Appreciated if I could get an idea of how-to of getting the index back.

Hi @SooMan_Kim
We can completely reset your lab environment to its initial state. That will bring the dataset back, but it will also delete all of your work. Any index patterns, visualizations, dashboards that you had saved will have to be recreated.

Alright, I have reset your lab environment. When you log in the next time, just like the first time you logged in, you will have to wait 20 minutes or so for the Elastic Stack to start. After that, you should be good to go. 🙂
