# How to run Kibana

Hi! I've been trying to run kibana but I'm always stuck on the configure the index pattern.  
So far, this is what I did.

**I made an index using SENSE.**

**But it seems that Kibana couldn't see my index that's why I can't configure an index pattern.**

Thanks! Need some help here since I'm new with the application.

The index you created is named "movies", which doesn't match the pattern "logstash-\*". Adjust the pattern, e.g. to "movies".
