# How to send watcher alert email via gmail SMTP in Elastic Cloud?

Hello,

we are trying to set watcher alerts via Gmail SMTP. we found some references in the official documentation and that seems to be of on-prem ELK Step. it is possible to do in Elastic Cloud?
