# How to stop alert with another solution?

HI, I having a question about stop alert.

**Example Alerting**

> PUT \_xpack/watcher/watch/mem\_\_warning

And `how to stop it without using code ?`

Hi there, are you asking for a graphical user interface for stopping the alert, e.g. a button you can click? If so, then you'll be happy to hear that this is something we're currently working on: [Watcher GUI](https://discuss.elastic.co/t/watcher-gui/1150/4).

The easiest solution is to use the [Deactivate Watch API](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/5.5/watcher-api-deactivate-watch.html)
