# How to understand index and search info obtained by \_node/stats API？

use this API can get the `index_total` and `query_total`

```auto
GET _nodes/stats/indices/indexing,search

```

and from granfana can get info as below:

how to understand the meaning of `index_total` and `query_total` ？

Hey,

on top of my head that is the total number of index operations and the total number of query operations. Probably you did a reindex at the first spike?

What is the meaning of numbers 150kb？A document counts once ?  
and What is the meaning of `number of query operations` ，Is it a shard level?
