# How to uninstall logstash service?

Hi, I have installed multiple instances of logstash on a single machine. Installation was done via system-install script provided with logstash package. Each instance has its own configuration folder.

But how can I uninstall the service including all files which have been created via system-install script?

1. On systemd, use: systemctl **stop logstash** [.](https://www.walmartone.vip/)
2. On upstart, use: initctl **stop logstash**.
3. On sysv, use: /etc/init. d/ **logstash stop**.
