# How to upload platinum licence on an existing cluster elk stack

Hi, I am new to elk stack and I need to upload a new platinum licence as trial licence is expired. It is a clustered elk stack (6.3).
I found these links but not sure if i am on the right path:

It looks like there is an option to disable the security in elasticsearch.yml file on each server, but again not sure the implications of doing so!
Anybody can guide me to right place or the steps, please?

I think you are looking for the [update licence API](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/6.5/update-license.html).
