# How to use a dropdown filter in Canvas with graphics loaded from Visuallize Library

Hello, I am working with the Canvas part, i have several dashboards in which I use different graphics that I have saved in the Visualize Library section to create these Dashes.

Now I want to create a Canvas with these graphics and they load fine, but I would like to add a dropdown filter and have the graphics updated depending on what I select.

I have made several attempts but it is not working

Hello @ajogonpez,

Welcome to the community!

Even though you can add your saved visualizations to Canvas, they are not Canvas elements. All these elements are created using an expression language to retrieve and manipulate data. To filter the saved visualization added to Canvas, you need to edit the visualization, add a filter, and save. Or you can consider creating [Canvas elements](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/kibana/current/canvas.html#create-elements).
