# How to use the value from kubernetes metadata in S3 output

Hi,

I am trying to use the service name which will get from kubernetes metadata to use in S3 output to construct prefix, how can I use that field value in output?

Use a [sprintf](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/logstash/current/event-dependent-configuration.html#sprintf) reference.
