# How to view contents of heartbeat keystore

Hi,  
I am trying to check if we can display the contents and values of the heartbeat.keystore.  
Is there any command to display the entries and values?  
I am unable to find the documentation on this. can someone help me in this?

Hi @swchandu ,

You can list only the keys with the [list](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/beats/heartbeat/master/command-line-options.html#keystore-command) command, or override a key with a same/different value, but you can't list the values via command.

Though you can consume the values in monitor definitions. Can you describe what's your use case of displaying the values stored in the keystore?

Before we deploy, I would like to verify whether the key values are given correctly or not.
