# Https support in kibana 4.0.1

I have my aws loadbalancer running on https. I wish to know if there is a way i can enable my kibana to support incoming requests on https?
kibana version- 4.0.1
elastic search version 1.5.0

So you wish to encrypt communications between the browser and Kibana? Take a look at the `ssl_*` configuration settings: [https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/kibana/4.0/\_setting\_kibana\_server\_properties.html](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/kibana/4.0/_setting_kibana_server_properties.html)
BTW Kibana 4.0.1 is nearly 3 years old, which means it's missing a ton of features and maintenance is getting curbed down. You should strongly consider upgrading.
