# HyperThreading vs performance

Hi guys,

We have 15x ES servers with 20 physical cores and 500Gb ram each.

Will we benefit from leaving HT on on ES Data nodes in all cases or can it affect performance negatively in some cases? Can it affect query response latency, indexing speed?
