Hello and welcome,

This path does not exist inside your container, so there is nothing for logstash to read.

In your compose you are bind mounting another file from another user folder.

```auto
- /Users/manakwadhwa/Desktop/ClearTax/Logs/service-logs.log:/usr/share/logstash/logs/service-logs.log:ro
```

To read this file you would need to use the path as `/usr/share/logstash/logs/service-logs.log`, which is how it exists inside the container.

Also, your file input is missing the `start_position`, so per default logstash will start on the end of the file, if no new events are added, it would not read anything.

You need something like this:

```auto
input {
  file {
      path => "/usr/share/logstash/logs/service-logs.log"
      start_position => "beginning"
    }
}
```

Thanks @leandrojmp for this, I was sure that the file was not accessible by the container but didn't know what will be the appropriate command to do this. I was struggling with GPT using which I added that file in volumes.

Now it is working. Thanks for your help, highly appreciated !!!
