# I have the same problem

You can not merge two cluster that has already formed separately. You need to move the data from one of the nodes to the other, e.g by reindexing or snapshot/restore, and then clear that node and have it join the other node as a new empty node. Having a 2-node cluster is also not recommended. You should always [look to have three master-eligible nodes in any cluster](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/8.10/high-availability-cluster-small-clusters.html).
