# I have tons of closed alerts , how to delete all of them

am running an instance where am still experimenting with rules

am getting a lot of false alerts that i want to delete before push production

Thanks for reaching out, @Haitham1. Would using the [bulk actions API](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/security/current/bulk-actions-rules-api.html#bulk-actions-rules-api-action) work for you? Our documentation on m[anaging alerts](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/security/current/alerts-ui-manage.html) could also be helpful here.

Hello @Haitham1

Alerts can be closed using API: [Signals endpoint | Elastic Security Solution [8.15] | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/security/current/signals-api-overview.html#_set_alert_status)

Or through UI: [Manage detection alerts | Elastic Security Solution [8.15] | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/security/current/alerts-ui-manage.html#detection-alert-status)

After closing, alerts won't appear in alerts table anymore
