# I need an api that will allow me to insert my data in the apm server

there is an application that I'm not developing whose source code is not within my reach so I'd like to have an api that will allow me the data of this application in apm

For Java applications, you do not need to have access to the application's source code in order to monitor it, so long as the application uses technologies supported by the agent.
