Hi, Sorry if this is a trivial question, but I can’t find a clear answer. My company wants to use Elasticsearch, and we have strict governance policies. If we choose the managed Elasticsearch offering from Azure, where is the cluster actually created - within Azure, or in Elastic Cloud? We do not want to use virtual machines. Additionally, what is the situation with the new Serverless option? regards ---

Welcome! Elastic Cloud is hosted on Azure, AWS and GCP. So when you choose Elastic Cloud on Azure, it's running on Azure infra, but all managed by Elastic. ![image](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/elastic/original/3X/4/0/40b808df916d4fb7d53e895316943b5cc1270d2d.png) Same for Serverless. When you create your cluster from the Azure Console, it's created on Azure infra. Makes sense?
