# In Kibana 4.5.x how to change the url syntax "kibana"

Hi All
I am using Kibana 4.5.x and currently the URL is like this
> [http://xxx.xxx.x.xxx:5601/app/kibana#/discover](http://xxx.xxx.x.xxx:5601/app/kibana#/discover)?
and i want to change this to
> ```
> http://xxx.xxx.x.xxx:5601/app/abcd#/discover?
>
> ```

I don't think that it is possible to accomplish what you want. The word in the url after `app` is the name of the plugin. If you were to change the name of the kibana plugin, other plugins that have a dependency on the kibana plugin would fail.
