I inherited a project that has an Elasticsearch mapping like this, but the data is all stored in the same documents. That is, there are no actual parent/child mappings so is include\_in\_parent even useful in this case? If so, what does it buy me? Nested queries work as expected so I am inclined to just remove include\_in\_parent from the mapping but thought I would ask the question first. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

Kevin
