# Index elasticsearch

I am using elasticsearch 7.6 and everything works fine, but wordpress requires elasticsearch 7.5 for elasticpress when I use elasticshear 7.5 it does not recognize my index.

this iselastic 7.5

[2020-04-21T12:18:43,868][INFO][o.e.g.GatewayService] [mey] recovered [0] indices into cluster\_state

and elastic 7.6

You can not downgrade Elasticsearch so will need to reindex you data to go to an older version.
