# Index Lifecycle Error on first rollover

Index lifecycle error

illegal\_state\_exception: no rollover info found for [filebeat] with alias [filebeat\_logs], the index has not yet rolled over with that alias

Ok found my own problem here. I never changed logstash from writing to and index to writing to an alias. Just go in and set  
index =\> "chosen\_alias"
