# Index settings: correct place for the analyzer section

quick question - what is the correct place for the analysis configuration:

```auto
PUT my_index
{
  "settings": {
    "index" : {
      "analysis" : {
        "analyzer" : {

```

or

```auto
PUT my_index
{
  "settings": {
    "analysis": {
      "analyzer": {

```

both seems to be working, but what is the difference?
